Looking for the Best Indian Restaurant in Mexico City? Here's What the Press Says

If you are visiting Mexico City and craving Indian food, you will find a handful of options — and very little to help you choose between them. Restaurant websites all say the same thing about themselves.

So here is what other people have said about us, with a link to every source.

«The best Indian restaurant in CDMX» — Quién

Aroma Curry: el mejor restaurante de comida india en CDMX

Quién, one of Mexico's best-known lifestyle magazines, published that headline in October 2025. Read it here — it is in Spanish.

Milenio, Excélsior and Animal Gourmet

Milenio called us «a corner of India in Mexico City». Excélsior included us in its guide to where to eat Indian food in the city. And Animal Gourmet ran a full review with menu, prices and hours — later picked up by Yahoo.

In English, Wanderlog lists us among the best Indian restaurants in Mexico City — a guide written for travellers.

What changed in August 2026

Most of that coverage was written while we were in Colonia Anáhuac. On 13 August 2026 we moved to Colima 268, in Roma Norte — the city's most walkable restaurant neighbourhood, and the one most visitors stay in.

Three things are new:

  • A full bar. Signature cocktails where Mexico and India meet — the Bombay Sour is whisky, tamarind and piloncillo under a chaat masala foam — plus Mexican wines and over forty spirits. There was no bar at the old address.
  • Live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • A shorter, better menu, with a tasting menu — the Trip to India — built for anywhere from one to sixteen people.

What did not change: the chefs, the spices we bring from India, and the clay tandoor oven.

Practical details for visitors

  • Colima 268, Roma Norte, Cuauhtémoc, 06700 Mexico City.
  • Open every day, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Last table seated at 8:30 PM.
  • Valet parking $50 MXN from 2:00 PM until close.
  • Walking distance from Metrobús Álvaro Obregón and Metro Insurgentes (Line 1).
  • The dining room seats fifty, and weekend evenings book up.

You can see the full menu with prices or book a table.

We also cater — including Indian wedding catering across Mexico, from Cancún to Los Cabos.
